Producing Live Theatre: From Back Stage to Center Stage

Behind the Scenes to the Stage! is a dynamic and immersive course designed to unravel the enchanting world of live theater production and performance. Tailored for those eager to delve into the intricacies of theatrical arts, this course offers a comprehensive exploration of the behind-the-scenes magic and hard-working people that bring a production to life at Lyric Stage Boston. One of the course highlights includes exclusive insider knowledge and behind-the-scenes looks at Lyric Stage’s upcoming production of Noises Off! by Michael Frayn. Participants will have the unique opportunity to meet with different staff members of our team, as well as meet and learn from some of the artists who bring the show to life, gaining invaluable insights into their roles and contributions to the show. Through engaging discussions, hands-on workshops, and behind-the-scenes tours, members will gain new understanding and one-of-a-kind insights of the collaborative efforts required to stage a successful production. Participants will embark on a captivating journey through the production process, culminating in the option to see a live performance of Noises Off! at our very own theater! Group Leader Biography:

Kandyce Whittingham has been working in theater since she was 10 years old and hopes never to stop. Currently the Marketing and Development Associate at Lyric Stage Boston, Kandyce is a recent graduate of Emerson College's acting program and freelances across the Greater Boston Area as an actor, director, and teaching artist when she's not in the office.
